One year ago today, Daily Sesh began by sharing a video of the late Van Wastell on a simple site. Using twitter, we quickly began to build friendships with loyal fans that contributed their own videos, suggestions, and eventually photos. Without fans like you, the interaction that takes place wouldn’t exist, and Daily Sesh wouldn’t be the site it is today.
Going forward, our goal is to continue to be a site that values our fans’ opinions. I’d like to thank everyone that has shared their videos and photos, tipped us off to videos they found, told their friends, or even just found some inspiration from the videos we’ve featured.
Thanks to the 30,000 unique visitors that have come from over 5000 cities in over 100 countries including all 50 states. Thanks to the 1500 friends on Twitter who follow us, retweet posts, and share new clips with us. Thanks to the 300 subscribers and to the viewers for over 86,000 views on YouTube since we launched our channel a little over 6 months ago. I wish we could get feedback from every one of you, but it’s always great to hear from any of you.

The Skateboard Film Festival is exactly what it sounds like. August 14-16 it all comes together in Seattle for a weekend dedicated to skateboarding films. We had the chance to find out a little more about TSFF from Eric Burgess, the executive director. Here’s what he had to say:
How did the idea for the Skateboard Film Festival come about?
My buddy Kirk pitched the idea to me a couple of years ago. We both thought it was a RAD idea because we love video premiers. Ideas started going off in our heads to create a special annual event to celebrate skateboard film and video. More importantly, we wanted to give everyone out there a chance to show their film or video in front of a live audience. It’s a magical thing to watch a good skate video in a theater with great sound and acoustics. Ultimately, we had to shelve the idea until it was time. Last September we started meeting up regularly to lay out our mission and plan of attack.
