Deluxe has broken new ground in skate catalogs… Product catalogs have gone from paper, to the internet, and now Deluxe has brought it to the iPhone. What exactly is the app? Like I said, it’s basically their product catalog delivered specifically for the iPhone since the web version isn’t viewable on the iPhone’s browser. You can even check out all the embedded videos from the catalog.
Other than that, there’s not much too it… So if you’ve seen their summer catalog already, there’s not much of a need unless you wanna give the videos another watch on the go. It’s free and definitely cool, but maybe they can add in some more functionality in the future like news, regular video updates, whatever.
Some tech stuff: You can pinch to zoom in and out on the pages, but you have to use the arrows to flip pages rather than swiping through pages like you might be used to. Also, I wish the tabs for the different catalogs could be hidden somehow for more viewing area, maybe just a small button in the corner to show or hide it.
My final word: GO DOWNLOAD IT. Since it’s free, there’s no reason not to at least check it out. Show your support for these guys going out on a limb, maybe updates will come and more will follow suit! Get it in the App Store here.
