Chapman skateboards is a skate company based out of New York. They have been off the radar for some time now, and I didn’t think they really existed anymore. This video proves that even when you think a company is virtually dead, it is still possible for them to make a comeback. This video contains parts from Brendan Leddy, Luke Malaney, and everyone’s favorite new Alien Workshop am Jake Johnson.
The video runs about 15 minutes long, but all of the footage is solid. Brendan leddy starts it out with a gnarly part. It is interesting to see someone that skates like him hitting northeast spots exclusively. Next, there is a montage the highlights some well known New York heads. Luke Malaney’s skating is awesome, and he brings a few friends along with him for his part. Finally, the curtains go to Jake Johnson. His part alone makes this video worth buying, and I haven’t mentioned that this video should only cost $5.
The filming in this video was also very interesting. It is filmed in 24p with several 16mm shots laced in throughout the video. It’s nice to see someone actually shoot a complete video in 24p.
Overall, I really liked this video, and I think it would be an awesome addition to anyone’s collection. This video should be available at most shops. If you have trouble finding any of the videos we review on the site, just hit me up @Scottygrissom. I’ll try my best to locate some copies.
